Fleece Information

Soft Shell Fleece is perfect for lightweight outdoor wear such as coats, jackets, jumpers etc. Soft Shell Fleece has a woven showerproof front and fleece back.

The Soft Shell outer provides protection from wind. While not completely blocking wind it does offer a much more substantial barrier than most pure fleece fabrics & jackets. The ‘shell’ also offers light shower protection.

The Fabric & Ordering

Soft Shell is priced per metre.

To order simply add metres to your basket – we will cut as one continuous length up to the standard 10m full bolt option. Half metres are available by entering 0.5 (half metre), 1.5 (one and a half metres) etc.

Also available in longer roll lengths of 40-50m by special request. Please  – we would be delighted to provide further information.

Recommended Sewing Thread

We recommend stitching the Soft Shell with . It is slightly stronger than a ‘normal’ sewing thread meaning it won’t have a problem sewing fleece, particularly at seams and edges where you are likely to have multilayers.

Despite its extra strength, Thread Plus can still be used with a standard sewing machine needle. Please  if you would like any more info.
